IsoTOF

This is a model of a planar multi-reflecting Time-of-Flight analyzer

This example illustrates a new approach for design of time-of-flight systems. Unlike conventional systems, where motion of ions is isochronous in only one (flight) direction, this new system has a property of isochronous motion in the orthogonal (drift) direction as well. The approach, applied here for design of multi-reflecting time-of-flight system, is based on planar mirrors with zig-zag like trajectories.
